Pregnancy - Week 30

Email Print

This week your baby's brain has developed that many neurons, they physically overgrow the space in his skull, so the brain starts to gain its distinctive wrinkled look, in order to accommodate more cells.

The lanugo, the extremely fine hair that covered your baby's body so far and protected it from the permanent exposure to the amniotic fluid starts to disappear.

A healthy diet is paramount in these mounts. Not only because you need more energy to support your routine activities, but because your baby needs calcium more than ever for his bones development and loads of iron for his nervous system development, especially his brain.

He is around 1.35 KG (3 lbs) in weight and measures around 40 cm (16 inches)
